How do I get through the phone menu to a live person?

Consider using our free service that calls and talks to customer service for you, then sends you a report. Or use our free service that waits on hold and tells you when a human rep is on the line. But if those options don't appeal to you, our team has also documented the phone menu for Care Credit below.

Let us call and talk to Care Credit for you

Our AI powered phone can dial, navigate the phone menu, wait on hold, and even talk to customer service for you, for free. You don't even need to learn about the path through the various phone options.

We can get a live person on the line for you

That same, free CallHelpdesk Phone can call and navigate the menus and wait on hold for you, but you can opt to do all the talking. We notify you when a rep is on the line and ready to talk, so no need to worry about changing menu options and weaving your way through the maze.
Of course, we completely understand if you prefer to do all the dialing, waiting, and talking yourself. All of these free tools are optional.
CallHelpdesk researchers routinely call this Care Credit phone number to document the phone system.
Here is how our research team describes the way the Care Credit phone system greets you: If you are an account holder, press 1. If you are a provider, press 2. If you do not have an account yet, press 3.
Here is our latest tip for weaving through the phone menu to get to a real person the fastest: Keep pressing 0, then keep repeating "Representative" until you are transferred.
Below are some clips we've found from Care Credit's phone menus and tips that help give an idea of what you will encounter when you call. We've highlighted why they are important as well:

Heard when the phone system first answers

"Thank you for calling Synchrony Bank. The issuer of your CareCredit account. If you're a CareCredit account holder, press one. If you're a CareCredit provider, press two."
Excerpt from a call with Care Credit

They may ask your reason for calling (instead of a menu)

"This entire call will be recorded and monitored. Thank you for calling Synchrony Bank. My name is Wendy. How can I help you today?"

What are the hours and when should I call?

Care Credit operates the call center for this 866-893-7864 phone number Mon-Sun 8am-12am ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Friday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 603 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Call when they- and you- are open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, you can also schedule the call with Care Credit at a time when they are open and when it works for you. We will confirm you are ready before placing the call, just in case. That means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Care Credit phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Care Credit staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Care Credit is Sunday. The most busy day to call is Thursday, which averages 222% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 603 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Friday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Saturday, which is 1648% longer than the minimum. As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Care Credit

In summation, the best day to call Care Credit is Friday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Care Credit staffs up on Friday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.

Calling this Care Credit Customer Number

Adam Goldkamp is the editor / author responsible for this content.
Sep 23, 2024

When you call Care Credit's customer service phone number, you're first greeted by an automated messaging system. It thanks you for calling and immediately offers a Spanish language option (press 4). This is great, as it increases caller accessibility! The system pauses, giving customers a chance to select the alternate language option if they choose, and then presents the following phone menu:

  • Press 1 if you're a Care Credit account holder
  • Press 2 if you're a Care Credit account provider
  • Press 3 to apply for a Care Credit account

Interestingly, the options don’t automatically repeat, and there isn’t a way to request them to be repeated. Instead, after one recitation, it switches to a different phone menu. It asks you to say or enter your account number, then seems to glitch, saying "Let's try that one more time" a couple of times in a row. It then asks the same question in a different way, gives minimal pause time, and asks for your social security number twice. I hung up to get back to the original phone menu because whatever the system devolves into if you don’t make a 1-3 selection is a little off-putting.

I was calling with questions about Care Credit, not necessarily to immediately apply, so none of the initial options were applicable. Nonetheless, I pressed option 3, hoping to reach a human being. After pressing 3, the automated system says it will transfer me to an agent, then states the entire call will be recorded. Something about the specific language used on this customer service line is off-putting as a potential customer—it almost sounds like a threat. Because of this, I chose not to speak to an agent, despite the effort I put into navigating to one. I would rather look for information online and speak to current and former account holders for their thoughts.

Adam has been tirelessly trying to help customers find the best tips and tricks to get through phone trees and writing many guides for prickly customer service problems. He's been featured in the Wall Street Journal, Inside Edition and Bloomberg.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Care Credit runs the call center for 866-893-7864, and they're open Mon-Sun 8am-12am ET. The short answer? You should call on a Friday. We got this insight, and what's next, from analyzing 603 calls made in the last 90 days with our free, web-based phone (see above).

Call when they- and you- are open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to make calls, wait on hold, or navigate phone menus for you, you can also schedule that call with Care Credit. We'll find a time when they're open and it works best for you. We'll even confirm you're ready before placing the call, just to be sure. That means you can truly "set it and forget it" ahead of time. So go ahead and schedule a call with Care Credit! Here's an important note about busy times, hold times, and the best time to call. When we talk about busy or less busy times, we're simply referring to the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Care Credit phone number, and least busy times have fewer people calling. But here's the thing: high call volume doesn't always mean you'll have a long hold time. Companies like Care Credit staff their call centers differently depending on the time of day and day of the week. So, you might actually experience a shorter wait on hold even during the busiest times. When we mention the best time to call, we're looking for that sweet spot: a combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

If you're calling Care Credit, Sunday is the least busy day. Thursday is the busiest day to call, averaging 222% more phone calls by comparison. We've based this on a sample of 603 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days. Sun Quietest Mon Tue Wed Thu Busiest Fri Sat Sun Quietest Thu Busiest

The shortest wait on hold

It turns out Fridays have the shortest hold times. On average, the longest wait in the queue occurs on Saturday, and that's a whopping 1648% longer than the minimum! You can see that hold times fluctuate a lot more throughout the week compared to the actual call volume. But honestly, if you're using our free 'call and talk for me' or 'wait on hold for me' service, you won't really need to stress about those average wait times. We'll handle it for you every day – Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri (when it's shortest), and Sat (when it's longest). So, whether it's a short Friday wait or a long Saturday one, you're completely covered!

The best time to call Care Credit

Ultimately, the best day to call Care Credit is Friday. It isn't the least busy day, but the shortest hold times, even though it's on the busier side, suggest that Care Credit staffs up on Friday to handle the higher call volume. That's why it's the best time to call.

Calling this Care Credit Customer Number

By Adam Goldkamp. When you call Care Credit's customer service number, you'll first be greeted by an automated system. Interestingly, those options don't automatically repeat, and there's no way to ask for them to be repeated. Instead, after just one time, it switches to a different phone menu. It asks you to say or enter your account number, then it seems to glitch, repeating "Let's try that one more time" a couple of times in a row. Schedule a call with Care Credit An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls
Humanized:
You should call on a Friday
Modified

The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Care Credit phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling)
Humanized:
We got this insight, and what's next, from analyzing 603 calls made in the last 90 days with our free, web-based phone (see above)

This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call
Humanized:

Here's an important note about busy times, hold times, and the best time to call
Modified
Original:
Sun Quietest Mon Tue Wed Thu Busiest Fri Sat The shortest wait on hold We measured the shortest hold times to be on Friday
Humanized:
When we talk about busy or less busy times, we're simply referring to the volume of calls
Modified
Original:
The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Saturday, which is 1648% longer than the minimum
Humanized:
The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Care Credit phone number, and least busy times have fewer people calling
Modified
Original:
As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume
Humanized:
But here's the thing: high call volume doesn't always mean you'll have a long hold time
Modified
Original:
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times
Humanized:
Companies like Care Credit staff their call centers differently depending on the time of day and day of the week

Original:
Sun Mon Tue Wed Thu Fri Shortest Sat Longest The best time to call Care Credit In summation, the best day to call Care Credit is Friday
Humanized:
So, you might actually experience a shorter wait on hold even during the busiest times
Modified
Original:
It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Care Credit staffs up on Friday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call
