What are the hours and when should I call?

Comenity Bank operates the call center for this 800-675-5685 phone number Mon-Sat 8am-9pm ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Wednesday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 1,765 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Call when they- and you- are open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, you can also schedule the call with Comenity Bank at a time when they are open and when it works for you. We will confirm you are ready before placing the call, just in case. That means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Comenity Bank phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Comenity Bank staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Comenity Bank is Saturday. The most busy day to call is Friday, which averages 113% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 1,765 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Thursday, which is 199% longer than the minimum. As you can see, there is more fluctuation in hold time over the course of the week than there is in call volume.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Comenity Bank

In summation, the best day to call Comenity Bank is Wednesday. It isn't the least busy day, but the fact that hold times are shortest combined with it being on the busy side tells us that Comenity Bank staffs up on Wednesday to handle the higher call volume, and that makes it the best time to call.

Calling this Comenity Bank Customer Number

Jeff Whelpley is the editor / author responsible for this content.
Sep 9, 2024

Calling Comenity Bank is really only meant for people who have already gotten a card through one of Comenity's companies. If you don't already have an account, there's really not a lot this number can or will do for you. When I called, I was asked for the company through Comenity that I was trying to reach, and I opted for Pier 1 and its rewards program.

Upon doing so, I was first asked to provide my 16 digit account number, something I did not have available. I said that I didn't have one, and I was then asked to identify myself by providing my Social Security number. I was unwilling to give out this information, so the system finally moved on to going through the motions of trying to connect me to a representative.

I say going through the motions because there was actually nobody available to take my call. When the system tried to connect me to someone, it said that all representatives were busy assisting other customers and that I would need to try back again another time. I was not given the chance to wait for someone to answer my call after a hold time, given an opportunity to work with the automated system or asked if I would like to hold my place in line. The system simply decided that I would be ending the call then and there, and did so.

Based on this, it's hard to gauge how effective the customer service is. It might be really good for people who already have an account, but it does not make a good first impression to potential customers. Based on this experience, I would not use this number if I needed to get assistance with my account.

Jeff truly believes that all customers deserve good service. He’s been building tools, inventing phone tree hacks and helping customers since before his days at CallHelpdesk. He's also a Google GDE and involved in the Angular community.

What are the hours and when should I call?

Comenity Bank operates the call center for this 800-675-5685 phone number, and they're open Mon-Sat 8am-9pm ET. The quick answer? You should call on a Wednesday. This comes from analyzing 1,765 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Call when they- and you- are open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call Comenity Bank, whether it's to talk, wait on hold, or navigate their menu, you can also schedule that call for a time when they're open and it works best for you. We'll just confirm you're ready before we place the call, you know, just in case. That means you can really "set it and forget it" ahead of time. So, go ahead and schedule a call with Comenity Bank! But before you do, here's an important note about busy times, hold times, and the best time to call. When we talk about busy or less busy times, we're really just referring to the volume of calls coming in. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Comenity Bank phone number – and naturally, the least busy times have fewer people calling. Now, a high call volume doesn't necessarily mean you'll have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Comenity Bank staff their call centers differently depending on the time of day and day of the week. So, you might actually experience a shorter wait on hold even during their busiest periods. And when we talk about the "best time to call," we mean finding that sweet spot: a good mix of lower call volume *and* shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

Saturday's the quietest day to call Comenity Bank. Friday's the busiest, seeing 113% more calls on average. This info's from 1,765 calls with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days. So: Mon-Thu busy, Fri busiest, Sat quietest. Fri busiest, Sat quietest.

The shortest wait on hold

It turns out Wednesday usually has the shortest hold times. On average, you'll wait the longest in the queue on Thursday, and that's a whopping 199% longer than the minimum wait time. Interestingly, hold times fluctuate a lot more throughout the week than the actual call volume does. But honestly, if you're using our free 'call and talk for me' or 'wait on hold for me' service, you really don't have to stress about those average wait times. Remember: 'call and talk for me' or 'wait on hold for me' means you don't care if it's Mon, Tue, Wed (Shortest), Thu (Longest), Fri, or Sat!

The best time to call Comenity Bank

So, Wednesday is the best day to call Comenity Bank. It isn't the least busy day, but hold times are shortest. This, despite it being on the busy side, tells us Comenity Bank staffs up on Wednesday for the higher call volume, making it the best time to call.

Calling this Comenity Bank Customer Number

By Jeff Whelpley: If you're considering calling Comenity Bank, it's important to understand that their service is primarily designed for individuals who have already secured a card through one of Comenity's various companies. Honestly, if you don't already have an account with them, this particular number isn't likely to be of much use to you at all. When I placed the call, the automated system immediately prompted me to identify which Comenity-affiliated company I was trying to reach, and I selected Pier 1 and its associated rewards program. Right after making that selection, my first request was to provide my 16-digit account number, a piece of information I simply didn't have readily available at the time. After I explained that I didn't possess an account number, the system then moved on to asking for my Social Security number as a way to identify myself. Since I wasn't comfortable sharing that sensitive information, the system eventually proceeded with what felt like simply going through the motions of attempting to connect me with a customer service representative. I use the phrase 'going through the motions' quite deliberately, because, as it turned out, there wasn't actually anyone available to pick up my call. The moment the system tried to patch me through to a person, an automated voice announced that all representatives were currently busy assisting other customers and that I would, unfortunately, need to call back at another time. I wasn't offered the option to wait on hold for a representative, nor was I given any opportunity to interact further with the automated system, or even asked if I'd like to reserve my spot in a virtual queue. The system, without any input from me, simply made the decision that my call would be ending right then and there, and it promptly hung up. Considering this entire experience, it's genuinely difficult to get a clear sense of how effective their customer service truly is. While it might be perfectly fine, or even excellent, for individuals who already hold an account, it certainly doesn't manage to leave a positive first impression on potential new customers. Given everything that happened during this call, I personally wouldn't bother attempting to use this particular number again if I ever needed assistance with my own account. Jeff's a firm believer that every customer deserves good service. He's been building tools, inventing phone tree hacks, and helping customers since before his days at CallHelpdesk. He's also a Google GDE and involved with the Angular community.

When we talk about busy or less busy times, we're really just referring to the volume of calls coming in

push({}); Calling this Comenity Bank Customer Number By Jeff Whelpley Sep 9, 2024 Calling Comenity Bank is really only meant for people who have already gotten a card through one of Comenity's companies
Humanized:
And when we talk about the "best time to call," we mean finding that sweet spot: a good mix of lower call volume *and* shorter wait times
Modified
Original:
If you don't already have an account, there's really not a lot this number can or will do for you

Humanized:
On average, you'll wait the longest in the queue on Thursday, and that's a whopping 199% longer than the minimum wait time
Modified
Original:
I was not given the chance to wait for someone to answer my call after a hold time, given an opportunity to work with the automated system or asked if I would like to hold my place in line
Humanized:
Interestingly, hold times fluctuate a lot more throughout the week than the actual call volume does
Modified
Original:
The system simply decided that I would be ending the call then and there, and did so
Humanized:
But honestly, if you're using our free 'call and talk for me' or 'wait on hold for me' service, you really don't have to stress about those average wait times
Modified
Original:

The specific fees associated with your Comenity Bank credit card will depend on the type of card you have and the agreement you have entered into
