What are the hours and when should I call?

Amway operates the call center for this 800-253-6500 phone number Mon-Fri 9am-11pm ET. The short answer is that you should call on a Thursday. This observation and the following section are based on analysis of a sample set of 421 calls made in the last 90 days using our free, web-based phone (see above).

Call when they- and you- are open

When you use our free AI-powered phone to call and talk, wait on hold, or navigate for you, you can also schedule the call with Amway at a time when they are open and when it works for you. We will confirm you are ready before placing the call, just in case. That means you can "set it and forget it" ahead of time.
An important note: busy times vs hold times vs best time to call
When we refer to busy or less busy times, we are talking about the volume of calls. The busiest times are when the most people are calling this Amway phone number (least busy times have fewer people calling). This high call volume does not necessarily mean that you will have a long hold time when you call. Companies like Amway staff their call centers differently based on the time of day and day of the week, so you may experience a shorter wait on hold at the busiest of times. When we refer to the best time to call, we are referring to the optimal combination of lower call volume and shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

The least busy day to call Amway is Thursday. The most busy day to call is Wednesday, which averages 68% more phone calls by comparison. Again, this is based on a sample of 421 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days.

The shortest wait on hold

We measured the shortest hold times to be on Wednesday. The longest wait in the queue on average occurs on Tuesday.
But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to worry about average wait times.

The best time to call Amway

In summation, the best day to call Amway is Thursday. This is not the day with the shortest wait on hold in the phone system, but we still recommend it for its ideal combination of low call volume and short hold times. Plus we believe that Amway staffs the call center well on Thursday.

Calling this Amway Customer Number

Adam Goldkamp is the editor / author responsible for this content.
Feb 28, 2024

I once purchased a beauty cream from a co-worker who sold Amway at my old job, and I really liked that cream. However, eventually, it ran out and I didn't give it too much thought. My face has not been quite as clear since, and I really want to buy the same cream. I've changed jobs since then and have no idea how to get ahold of the co-worker so I thought that I would try just calling the company directly. I never thought much about Amway one way or another, but the cream was very helpful and now I wonder about a few of the other products as well.

Since I don't know anyone selling it, directly calling the company seemed like the best bet. Plus, I didn't want to use their tool to find a local salesperson because then I would have to deal with someone who was trying to oversell me on their products. I just wanted the few things I wanted. I know that Amway is a large company like Avon, but I don't know much about it other than that so I didn't have many expectations going into the call.

When I called, I was immediately greeted by a voice assistant who said, "Thank you for calling Amway customer service. Press 1 if you are an IOB. Press 2 if you are a customer." I pressed 2 and it took a few seconds, and I wasn't sure what was going to happen but then a voice finally said, "This call may be recorded for quality or training purposes." I didn't even have to wait, because after that transfer, the phone started to ring right away and an agent named Christina picked up. I was pretty amazed that I was able to talk to someone in sales this quickly.

My only complaint is that this woman was clearly not a native English speaker despite the name. She had a very thick accent and I had to listen very carefully and ask her to repeat herself a few times. However, she was very polite and patient and worked through my questions at a pace that I could understand. All in all, I was most impressed that it only took me about 30 seconds to get to a live agent, and I don't think there are very many companies that can offer that type of support. They may be a sales-focused company, but they sure got my sales. I will call back if I run out of the face cream again.

Use this link to find customer service help through their website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Amway customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team, and rarely leads to a real-time conversation, which is why CallHelpdesk does not recommend this unless it's the only way.

Conclusion and closing notes

This is Amway's best phone number, the real-time current wait on hold and tools for skipping right through those phone lines to get right to a Amway agent. This phone number is Amway's best phone number because 9,552 customers like you used this contact information over the last 18 months and gave us feedback. Common problems addressed by the customer care unit that answers calls to 800-253-6500 include Returns, Cancel order, Change order, Track order, Complaint and other customer service issues. Rather than trying to call Amway first, consider describing your issue first; from that we may be able to recommend an optimal way to contact them via phone or web. In total, Amway has 1 phone number. It's not always clear what is the best way to talk to Amway representatives, so we started compiling this information built from suggestions from the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so we can continue to improve this free resource.

CallHelpdesk does not provide call center services or customer support operations for Amway. The two organizations are not related. CallHelpdesk builds free tools and shares information to help customers of companies like Amway. For large companies that includes tools such as our CallHelpdesk Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line to get a live human rep. We continue to work on these tools to help customers like you (and ourselves!) navigate the messy phone menus, hold times, and confusion with customer service. As long as you keep sharing it with your friends and loved ones, we'll keep doing it.

Amway operates the call center for the 800-253-6500 phone number, and they're open Mon-Fri 9am-11pm ET. The short answer is you should call on a Thursday. We'll make sure you're ready before we place the call, just in case. This means you can truly "set it and forget it" well ahead of time. Go ahead and schedule a call with Amway! Here's an important distinction to keep in mind: busy times versus hold times versus the best time to call. When we talk about busy or less busy times, we're simply referring to the volume of calls. The busiest times are when most people are calling this Amway phone number (and the least busy times have fewer callers). However, a high call volume doesn't automatically mean you'll have a long wait. Companies like Amway staff their call centers differently throughout the day and week, so you might even find shorter waits during peak busy times. When we mention the best time to call, we're looking for that sweet spot: lower call volume combined with shorter wait times.

The least busy time to call

Thursday is usually the least busy day to call Amway. Wednesday, though, is the busiest, averaging 68% more calls. This is based on 421 calls made with our AI-powered, web-based phone in the last 90 days. Mon Tue Wed Busiest Thu Quietest Fri Wed Busiest Thu Quietest.

The shortest wait on hold

We've found the shortest hold times are typically on Wednesday. The longest average wait in the queue, however, happens on Tuesday. But if you use our free call and talk for me or wait on hold for me service, you don't really need to fret about average wait times. So, call and talk for me or wait on hold for me!

The best time to call Amway

So, the best day to call Amway is Thursday. While it isn't the day with the absolute shortest wait on hold, we still recommend it because it offers an ideal mix of low call volume and short hold times. We also believe Amway staffs the call center well on Thursday.
